| I created this image to demonstrate the result of an exercise I wrote for my students. The realistic look is accomplished through reflectivity that increases as you look at the glass at more extreme angles (known as the Fresnel effect), attenuated shadows that are denser at the edges, and varied indexes of refraction, among other things. | |
